Molly Xie, violin

Molly Xie was born on April 2nd, 2014 in Texas and started her violin lesson in November 2018 with Dr. Christina McGann at Blair. It’s so amazing to see her grow in music life! She plays her solo pieces at her recitals, shares music at our church, her friend’s birthday party, and Abe’s garden etc. Not only being a soloist, she is now doing chamber music with her brother Colin, a pianist, and also playing in Vanderbilt Philharmonia Orchestra as a first violinist and had so much fun in a group music environment! In 2021, she won a second place in young musician category in American Protégé Music Competition, second place in the age 5-9 division in Progressive Musicians, and also first place in YAAA in Tennessee. Aside from violin, as a 4th grader, Molly also likes to read, sing, swim, bicycling, and play tennis.
